Programs & Services

The Chrysalis House “Life Skills Program” is a mandatory program run once a week that covers issues relating to self-esteem, healthy relationships, money management, cooking skills, creative arts expressions, and many others. This program is run by staff and/or local community organizations.

Our Team Objectives:

  • Provide homeless youth ages 16-19 years with a stable and secure living environment.

  • Provide opportunities for the development of physical, emotional, social, and spiritual well-being.

  • Facilitate personal growth and Life-skills training through “in-house” and outside programming.

  • Referrals are made to outside resources such as our community partners; Mental Health, Addiction Services, Department of Social Development, Department of Education and various others.

  • Preparing residents for a positive future by supporting and assisting residents in completing high school and promoting life-long learning by preparing them for post-secondary education and/or work.

  • Guide residents, through positive role modelling and mentorship, to be independent, participating and contributing members of society.
